A few years ago, I wrote a post that focused on how you can get some really nice low-light photos with a Cinema Camera. The article was inspired by this video, from the Blackmagic Cinema camera site, which showed a great video of a black-and-white film stills taken with a Canon EF mount.I've used this method before, but it's still pretty much the only way to get good low-level, high-quality photos....
Gardner Cinemas has confirmed it will be screening the upcoming film ‘Gardner’s’ after the studio confirmed on Tuesday it will release it on Friday, March 21.
The film, based on the best-selling book by Robert Gardner, will see the famous Irish actor reprise his role as Gardner in the first film of the trilogy which sees the legendary actor starring alongside his son, James, as their uncle.
Gardners’ film will be followed by a sequel ‘The Gardner Story’, which will be directed by Craig Coogan.
It will also be the first time in 20 years the series will have a new director, with Peter Weir leaving the project to helm ‘The Gaffer’ and ‘The Last of the King’s Men’.
“We’ve always loved the book,” said Gardner.
“We’re going to keep working on the film as long as we can, and we’ll get it out as soon as we possibly can.
We’ve been trying to make it for a long time.
It’s not the story that it was originally intended to be.”
The sequel is expected to be released later this year, with the first in the trilogy due to be shot next year.
It was originally planned for a 2019 release, but the company has now put a hold on that date.
“The movie has been in the planning stage for a very long time, it’s something that we’ve wanted to do for a really long time,” said Mark Gardner, president of Gardner Films.
“So, if there’s a release date in the near future, we’ll be getting it out on a Friday or Saturday.”
The first film was shot in 2006.
It is also the first project Gardner has made for himself outside of the Irish Film Industry.
“I’ve made a couple of films with a lot of Irish producers in Ireland, but I’ve always felt it was more my style,” he said.
“It’s a very different style to what I normally do.
I love to shoot in Ireland and I love the film industry, so it’s a good thing to be able to do.”
There’s a lot more people out there working in the film business now, and I’m very fortunate to be in that space.
“Gardener also spoke of the importance of the film being made in Ireland.”
To make it in Ireland is a very big deal,” he added.”
Ireland has such a large number of producers.
It would be really difficult for us to make something if we didn’t have the right people in the place.
“As long as I’m in this industry, it is something that I’m really excited about.”
